As a software engineer at Visa and a proud graduate of the National University of Singapore (NUS), I’ve navigated the challenges of breaking into the tech industry without a technical background or top grades.

Who Am I
I am Hsiao Ting, a Computer Science graduate from the National University of Singapore (NUS).
I have been a proud Computing Student Ambassador since my third year. I love sharing my experiences with peers and juniors. As a student ambassador, I represented Computer Science at many school-level events, such as outreach events with hundreds of incoming students. I shared topics ranging from my personal academic journey to internships and student life, offering tips and advice to benefit students and addressing any queries they may have.
I was also nominated to be an outstanding representative of the School of Computing for the NUS Office of Admissions Acceptance Campaign 2024, a campaign that aims to attract talented individuals and prospective students to accept their offers at NUS.
